Publicis Groupe, a French multinational advertising and public relations company, has signed a deal to acquire Rauxa, a US-based independent and integrated brand marketing agency. Publicis Groupe’s media solution hub, Publicis Media will welcome Rauxa as part of the acquisition deal. As mentioned in a recent press release by Publicis Groupe, Rauxa will closely operate with Publicis Media’s digital agencies. In the US, the company will function as an agency brand of Publicis Media. Jill Gwaltney, Founder of Rauxa, and Gina Smith, CEO of Rauxa, will continue to lead the company as they report to Regional CEO Americas for Publicis Media Tim Jones and Global CEO of Publicis Media Exchange David Penski.
“We started Rauxa 20 years ago as we believed that brands would be in need of an agency focusing on performing the very best job of one-to-one marketing. Helping clients reach their goals through this focus remains Rauxa’s biggest priority today. To do so, joining the Publicis Media family gives our company that much more scale and firepower,” said Gwaltney.
Acquisition to add to Publicis Groupe’s expertise to deliver data-driven creative offerings
“With the acquisition of Rauxa, our company reinforces its expertise to drive one-to-one consumer engagement for clients through scaled capabilities and data-driven creativity offerings. The ability of Publicis Media and the Groupe to deliver across every part of the consumer journey will be accelerated by the addition of Rauxa’s production, creative, media, tech, and data expertise,” said CEO of Publicis Groupe, Arthur Sadoun.
The acquisition of Rauxa is in line with the expertise of Publicis Groupe to deliver data-driven creative services, particularly across personalized creative and customer relationship management, in the US. It follows the finalization of the acquisition of Epsilon, a US-based global marketing innovator, by Publicis Groupe in July 2019.
The addition of Epsilon will significantly benefit Publicis Groupe’s solution hubs, including Publicis Health, Publicis Sapient, Publicis Media, and Publicis Communications. Furthermore, Epsilon will join Publicis Groupe as its unique data-tech platform for delivering personalization at scale. The company will be at the core of Publicis Groupe.
