The Discovery Labs of MLP Ventures, a US-based global company that creates co-working spaces, recently made an announcement that it will redevelop the Innovation Renaissance Campus and the GlaxoSmithKline Upper Merion West Campus in Pennsylvania’s King of Prussia. When announcing the redevelopment plan at the 2019 BIO International Convention, a spokesperson for The Discovery Labs said that the company will transform the campuses into America’s $500 million largest co-working ecosystem for tech-enabled, life sciences, and healthcare organizations. The Upper Merion West Campus stretches across an area of 1 million sq. ft. and the Innovation Renaissance Campus sits on an area of 640,000 sq. ft.
“Our company brings together tech-enabled, life sciences, and healthcare organizations heavily relying on enterprise-level infrastructure and wanting to occupy space designed specifically for technology-enabled, modern workforces with all the necessary amenities for hiring top talent,” said President of The Discovery Labs, Richard Heany.
The Discovery Labs provides mission-critical infrastructure and is larger than average co-working spaces
The Discovery Labs offers an entrepreneurial and a creative workspace by providing a one-of-a-kind environment. Such a workplace encourages synergistic collaboration where small and large organizations can grow using each other’s innovation, wisdom, and energy. The 100,000 sq. ft. business incubator and laboratory of The Discovery Labs named IQ Connect is at the heart of the community. The idea of using its laboratory as a workplace is unique to The Discovery Labs. The campus was originally designed for large-scale pharma research and development. However, it also creates a workplace that promotes creativity while using technology to maximum advantage.
“Compared to average co-working spaces such as WeWork, The Discovery Labs is 20 times larger and offers a mission-critical infrastructure required for operating tech-enabled, life sciences, and healthcare organizations. The size of every Discovery Labs allows companies of enterprise level for working side by side with emerging and startup companies and enjoying the co-working phenomenon’s benefits. It’s the first of a massive co-working properties network that’ll encourage collaborative, powerful innovation on an international scale,” said CEO of The Discovery Labs, Audrey Greenberg.
